What are cold-process soaps?
Cold process soap is a method of soap making that involves mixing oils and lye solution to create soap without the need for external heat. The term "cold process" refers to the fact that no external heat is applied to speed up the saponification process, which is the chemical reaction that occurs between the oils and lye to form soap.
What is the saponification process about?
Saponification is the chemical reaction that occurs when a fat or oil (usually triglycerides) reacts with a strong alkali, such as sodium hydroxide (lye) or potassium hydroxide, to produce soap and glycerin. This process is used in soap making to create solid bars or liquid soap.
What are essential oils?
Essential oils are highly concentrated aromatic compounds extracted from plants. These oils capture the plant's scent and flavor, as well as its beneficial properties. They are typically extracted through processes like distillation or cold pressing.
Why use essential oils?
Benefitcial properties: Therapeutic uses, purely natural ingredients that create aromtic properties and some are known to heal, calm, soothe & rejuvinate the skin.
Which essential oils do you use?
We use a host of essential oils including lavender, rosemary, peppermint, eucalyptus, frankincense, bergamout, maychang, ylang ylang, sweet orange and the list goes on!
What oils do we use in our artisan soaps?
Roughly 70% of our soaps contant olive oil and organic coconut oil. However, we do use other oils such avacado oil and sweet almond oil (15%or less) depending on the recipe.
Do we use butters in our solid soaps?
Yes, almost invariable
What locations do we deliver to?
We currently deliver within city limits of all Emirates across the UAE. Shortly, we will also deliver to selected coutries abroad. The countries will be available for selection during checkout.
How long does delivery take in the UAE?
Delivery to Dubai takes 0-1 business day and 0-2 business days to other Emirates in the UAE.
We mentioned "0" as we have same day delivery option to Dubai, Abu-dhabi & Sharjah.
How long do international shipments take?
We estimate for eligible countries that shipping time should be between 5-7 days as long as there are not delays at local customs.
Is delivery free?
Generally, shipping charges are AED 9 per order domestically(UAE) and internationally as per the eligible country however, we have free shipping promotions on orders above AED 49 locally or $49 internationally depending on the destination during promotions.

How do I cancel My Order?
Orders may be cancelled as long as the shipment has not been dispatched by logging into your account and cancelling the order or alternatively reaching out on hello@artisansouq.com or +97152 235 8800 .
Your order cannot be cancelled once shipped however, you may request a return within 3 days of receiving your package provide the package is unsealed and the items are in good condition(you will be charged for shipping in this scenario).
